I lie beside  

your memory. 

Coincidental glances 

unveiled the  

smell of desire,  

a flourishing spring 

of rendezvous 

eclipsed by an 

estranging summer. 

I roll over to it. 

Trying to grasp 

every last bit, 

it dissolves 

at my touch, 

and joins 

the passing wind. 

Your essence  

now exudes 

a fainting air, 

dissipating as  

the fragrance 

of an aged 

perfume. 

Its smell lingers 

on my neck, 

yet I'm afraid 

catching another breath 

will take away 

any prevailing scent 

capable of rekindling 

our story. 

Threads of sunlight 

sneak through  

the curtains 

while I wonder 

if your aroma 

will remain beside me 

and if my memory 

lies with you  

Too.
